81% of Idaho Voters Support Term Limits

Public Statement: Support for Congressional Term Limits

As a citizen of the Inland Northwest and a constitutional conservative, I support congressional term limits and stand with the overwhelming majority of Idaho voters who believe that public service should be a duty, not a lifetime entitlement.

In 2023, Idaho State Senator Cindy Carlson introduced Senate Concurrent Resolution 114, a measure to have Idaho join other states in calling for an Article V convention to propose term limits for Congress. Though it passed narrowly in committee, it was a clear signal that change is possible and necessary.

Polls show the people of Idaho are ready. A January 2025 survey by RMG Research found that 81% of Idaho voters support term limits for Congress, including majorities across party lines—87% of Republicans, 73% of independents, and 69% of Democrats.

As your representative in the Idaho Legislature, I will support efforts that reflect the will of the people. I will advocate for term limits that ensure a return to service-oriented leadership and prevent the consolidation of career political power in Washington. Idaho deserves a government that listens, rotates, and renews.
